When producing ceramic pieces out of a cast mold, slip is thrown into the cast and let dry until a shell is formed.
Creating a mold that has additional exits (plus the regular one at the top), allows casting different objects out of the same mold by simply changing the amount of slip; this first theoretical exercise produces three different-sized cups.
