It is common to find on the streets, sidewalks, and parks of Mexico City coquitas de piña, pineapple cokes, plastic bottles filled with urine. Apart from the obvious, unequal societies generate short-sighted individuals, coquitas de piña also show the lack of basic infrastructure of the city, contempt for public space, and indifference to others.
